In 2011 Carolyn Finley obtained a Faculty Development Grant from the College of St. Benedict, St. Joeseph, MN to bring David Jones there for a two day seminar on Swedish/Italian Vocal Pedagogy Techniques. The success of this resulting in it being repeated in 2012.
From the turnout and general interest at those workshops, a number of us started to work on getting David to come out to the Twin Cities as some comments that the drive to St. Joeseph was not possible for people that were interested in the workshop. Finally the stars aligned and we were able to schedule David to present the 2 day teachers seminar at Sundin Music Hall on the campus of Hamline University in 2015. The turnout for the two days was much higher than expected and many people expressed interest in having David come back again.
We hope the interest continues to high for this seminar so that we can continue this as an annual event.
